The city of Laredo, Texas has issued a new mandate requiring anyone entering a building that is not their home to wear a face cover. This mandate includes those traveling through Laredo. Face covers do not have to be an actual face mask, as a scarf, bandana, or any type of fabric will be allowed. For truckers and other travelers, face covers must be worn when pumping fuel, going into a truck stop, picking up food, or being at a shipper/receiver.

Anyone, including truckers traveling through the city, who are found in violation of this mandate can be fined up to $1,000. We have already received notice of a driver receiving a $500 fine. This could become a new movement amongst other cities and states. Motor carriers and truck drivers need to stay current with mandates in the states and cities they travel.

Lee Trans will continue to keep you updated as more cities and states release new mandates. Stay safe!
