FMCSA withdraws initial EOBR mandate

On Friday, May 11, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration announced that it was officially rescinding the first mandate for electronic on-board recorders introduced two years ago.

Now the agency is working through Congress to introduce a mandate.

Times looking better for trucking

The easy optimism of the first few months of the year has pretty much disappeared at this point, with the U.S. economy seeming to stagger a bit heading into the summer months, and the latest jobs report hasn’t done much to offer any encouragement.

Despite concerns, trucking added 1,800 jobs in April.
